How do we define happiness in Finland and Denmark?

The happiness criteria that have been taken to mesure between countries are :

1. GDP per capita

2. healthy life expectancy

3. Freedom to make life choices

4. Show social support

5. Generosity

6. Absence of corruption

There has to be a balance between the glad and a sense of freedom, glad is a word from Finland which defines gratitude.

And in Finland, for instance, we can have a sense of freedom by quitting our job and having money to think about what we wanted to do later. The amount which could go up to €2000 per month helps to have our freedom to think about what matters to us the most and what is our passion and how can we make our passion our job.

There is freedom of education, and healthcare, are free and there is big government support.

I’m French and I live in France I know the European system of pre-education and free healthcare, still, I can make a difference between the help given in northern countries like Finland and France. In Finland, the help is a bit higher than the average need of a person. That doesn’t mean that being rich makes us happy but having more than just enough makes us happy.
